The Verdon River has carved a deep canyon through the limestone plateau of the Verdon Gorges. At its most impressive, the canyon is over 700 meters deep and nearly 2 kilometers wide. The gorge walls are steep and often overhanging, creating spectacular scenery and breathtaking hikes starting from our campsite.

One of the most beautiful spots in the Verdon Gorges is Lake Sainte Croix. The lake is a popular spot for swimming, water sports, fishing, and boating. There are also several hiking trails around the lake that offer breathtaking views of the surrounding countryside, which you can easily explore from the campsite. If you're looking for adventure, you can also try canyoning in the gorges. Don't hesitate and take the plunge by climbing through waterfalls, pools, and narrow gorges. Our campsite in Moustiers Sainte Marie is the perfect base for exploring the park, with pitches nestled among the hills and magnificent views from which to discover the Gorges du Verdon.

The bungalows and camping pitches at our Moustiers-Sainte-Marie campsite are an ideal way to experience the Verdon Regional Park in its true natural setting.
