At Tikayan campsites, dogs are allowed in the accommodation and on the estate subject to 2 conditions: they must weigh less than 40 kg and they must not be category 1 or 2 dogs (you must show an up-to-date health record when you arrive).

Some campsites limit the number of pets to a maximum of one per accommodation (please refer to the rates). Pets must not be left unattended on mobile home terraces or in a vehicle while you are away.

In addition to these rules, staying at a Tikayan campsite with a dog means :

• Respect areas accessible to animals: for the sake of safety and harmonious cohabitation, dogs are not allowed in water areas.
• Pick up after your dog: always carry bags to clean up after your dog.
• Keep your dog on a lead: dogs must be kept on a lead in the communal areas of the campsite.
• Controlling your dog's noise: for the sake of peace and quiet, please ensure that your dog does not disturb the peace and quiet of the dog-friendly campsite by barking repeatedly.
• Controlled socialisation: monitor your dog's interactions with other animals and holidaymakers. Make sure your dog behaves properly and does not represent a danger or a nuisance for others on the campsite.

Pack a special dog first-aid kit for your camping trip with an accepted dog. It should contain anti-parasite products, compresses, disinfectant, scissors and your dog's usual medicines. Finally, the road on holiday is often a long one, so make sure you take plenty of water with you for hydration breaks during the journey, and take regular breaks to allow your dog to stretch and relieve itself.
