During your camping stay in the Var near the Mediterranean, you will have the opportunity to bike ride, practice water activities and discover beautiful villages and monuments. If you're traveling with kids, you'll probably want to visit a theme park for the whole family.
Located in Antibes, in the Alpes-Maritimes, approximately 10 km east of Cannes, Marineland Park is a large park where you can discover more than 250 species and 3000 animals. Come discover the different representations of orcas, dolphins and sea lions and educational activities that are organized all day. You can also go for a walk to the shark tunnel and the various aquariums or meet the polar bears. This fabulous area, which covers an area of 26 hectares, is the first tourist site in the PACA region. It welcomes every year nearly 850,000 visitors.
Educational tours are organized to educate the general public, especially children, about the fragility of marine biodiversity and the need to protect it. You will find on-site shops to buy souvenirs, coffees to quench your thirst on the terrace, kiosks with a modern design to eat on the go and several restaurants.
Marineland is very committed to protecting vulnerable species. The park is coordinating a European program for endangered species and in 1998 established a cetacean research center, renamed a research center for conservation in 2009. Several films were shot in the park, including Le Grand Bleu by Luc Besson with Jean Reno (1988) and Rust and Bone with Marion Cotillard (2012).
Did you like this family visit? Would you like to share other moments of relaxation, discovery and diversion with your children?
